Hybr Release Notes - 2407.3
Release Notes
Version: 1.2407.3.6
Release Date: 18.09.2024
Prepared by: Hybr Team
Overview
This release introduces several features aimed at enhancing network management and security for Azure Stack HCI VMs. The following updates include support for public IP addresses, L3 gateway connections, network adapters, and network security groups.
1. Public IP Address
This feature enables users to create, read, update, and delete public IP addresses for Azure Stack HCI VMs. It enhances network management capabilities, allowing for more flexible and efficient resource allocation.
Known Issues:
- The "Given IP is not available" message appears only after submitting the Create Public IP wizard, rather than during IP address input.
- When the allocation method is set to Dynamic, the IP pool input is disabled, but a public IP is still generated.
- Public IP addresses assigned to any gateway connection should not be deleted.
- In the Create Public IP wizard, selecting "Create new resource group" from the resource group dropdown prevents the next step from loading.
- For any invalid input in IP Address field; the message "The input contains a character that is not allowed" is displayed, instead of showing the actual invalid character in the message.
- After encountering an "IP already exists" error, users cannot submit the wizard with a valid IP unless they close and reopen it.
2. L3 Gateway Connections
This feature introduces the ability to create, read, update, and delete L3 gateway connections, enhancing network configuration management.
Known Issues:
For any invalid inputs in the following field, Route Metric, Destination Subnet, Maximum Inbound Bandwidth, Maximum Outbound Bandwidth, and Destination IP Address, the message "The input contains a character that is not allowed" is displayed, instead of showing the actual invalid character in the message.
- In the Create Gateway Connection, selecting "Create new resource group" from the dropdown prevents the next step of the wizard from loading.
- The creation of an L3 gateway connection with an already mapped logical subnet should be prevented, or mapped logical subnets should be hidden from the dropdown.
- In the Edit Gateway Connection Wizard, edited values remain visible when clicking "Cancel" without saving changes.
- In the Create Gateway Connection Wizard, scrolling down is not possible after changing the Virtual Network.
3. Network Adapter
This feature enables the creation, reading, updating, and deletion of network adapters for HCI VMs, utilizing VLANs, virtual networks, and logical networks for enhanced connectivity management.
Known Issues:
In the Create/Edit Network Adapter Wizard, public IP addresses that are already in use should not appear in the Network Adapter tab.
- For any invalid input, the error message, "The input contains a character that is not allowed," is shown, instead of showing the actual invalid character in the message.
4. Network Security Group
This feature allows users to create, read, update, and delete Network Security Groups (NSGs) for HCI virtual networks, enhancing network security management.
Known Issues:
In the Create NSG wizard, selecting "Create new resource group" from the resource group dropdown prevents the next step of the wizard from loading.
- A duplicate NSG error is displayed when attempting to create a new NSG using the name of a previously deleted NSG within the same subscription.
Conclusion
We are continuously working to improve the features and resolve known issues. Thank you for your understanding and support. Please reach out to our support team for any immediate concerns.
