SMTP Connection:

1. SMTP Connection is used to send emails. Mail will be sent using the port number with the SMTP user and password.
2. Admin Email are IDs used to send carbon copy.
3. If “should authenticate with smtp server” is enabled, then it will validate certificate hostname (Recommended) and verify that the receiving hostname matches the certificate presented by the SMTP server.
4. If “Use SSL” is enabled, then it will ensure the security of data sent via the internet by using encryption.

1. For Hybr, VConnect, Billing and Request management, using same SMTP connection details.
2. So, Connection menu is introduced in Admin Hybr Portal.
3. Once Connection is created, SMTP details are stored in Hybr, VConnect, Billing and Request management DBs.

Steps:

1. Login to Admin Portal
2. Navigate to Connection Menu
3. Click ‘Create Connection’ button.
4. Select “SMTP” Connection type.
5. Fill the Details of Connection name, Host, Port, Username, Password, admin Email Ids, if need enable “should authenticate with smtp server” and “IsUseSsl”
6. Click ‘OK’ button.
   

      

Hybr DB:

1. In Hybr DB, SMTP Details are seeded once connection is created.
   

     

Vconnect DB:

1. In VConnect DB, SMTP Details are seeded once connection is created.
   

          

Billing DB:

1. In Billing DB, SMTP Details are seeded once connection is created.
   

        

Request Management DB:

1.  In Request Management DB, SMTP Details are seeded once connection is created.
   

     

Email via SMTP Connection:

Self-Registration: When a new user self-registers on the platform, an automated email notification is sent to the user confirming their successful registration. Administrators can also receive a notification to review and approve the new registration, ensuring a streamlined onboarding process.

VConnect: Admins and users receive email alerts regarding key activities related to VM deployment status through VConnect. These notifications include updates on

1. Successful VM deployments
2. Daily activities report
3. VM utilized and unutilized warning notification
4. Any operational issues that require attention
   

Email reference for VConnect:

Billing:  Users receive emails for invoice generation, payment receipts, and any billing discrepancies. For CSP customers, automated notifications are sent for subscription changes, usage reports, and other billing-related events.
